So you have a BIG event coming up - lets say you are planning a SIMPLE (but very stylish) party...

full of beautiful party images, little paper tags that go onto drinking straws, dessert tables with custom made desserts, 'those' lights strung in the trees out in the yard above a dancefloor in the grass and a drinks station set up with mason jars & cut fruits so people can make there own cocktails

surely we can do this ourselves - its SIMPLE right?

Soooo you get onto the internet and try and buy 'those' lights from an overseas suppplier - they seem cheap enough? not sure if they meet australian safety standards but hey its only for one night! Yes the boys need to bring ladders or someone needs to bring ladders, to get those lights up into the trees - and power cables, someone needs to go to Bunnings to get extension cords so we can plug the 250 lights into the house, somehow... SIMPLE right?

And those little tags that go on the 200 straws at the bar - YES you can create those at home on your pc and simply print them, cut them out - and then on the day of the event sit quietly and assemble them onto the straws - surely you will have plenty of time for that!!!

Oh and the party wouldnt be complete without the amazing dessert bar - so you need to hire furniture & get it to the house on the day. Surely you can ask your brother to go with his ute to pick it all up from a hire place thats an hour away - and he can set it up in the yard

- (while you get your hair and make up done)

- then surely someone else can bring the desserts from the cake decorartors and set them up on the table (while you quickly get into your outfit & do those tags on the drinking straws)

Dont forget the fruit needs to be cut up into pieces for the drinks station (mum or aunty can cut up the fruit right? they dont have anything to do!) Oh yes and you can buy 100 mason jars at Kmart CHEAP - someone just needs to go buy them (and wash them) before the party - SIMPLE right?

YES you can plan, design & excute your own events I do not doubt you...

but is it worth it?

it really isnt that simple is it?

and lets face it - on the day of your event, wouldnt you rather be relaxed, getting your hair & make up done & then happily greeting your guests as they arrive

ALL while someone else worries about what needs to be done?
